Community kitchen

We are delighted that our community kitchen project was completed in April 2022.

The kitchen is designed to offer the local community children a food programme every day and for our volunteers and guests to share the cooking with the children and experience. Our community kitchen is in addition to our main programmes and ’feed 150’ programme. This Community project is for the children to learn self development and cook for themselves. We provide the food and oversee and teach new cooking skills and learn about new foods. The community kitchen is attached to our vegetable garden, polytunnel and rice growing land, so the children are involved in learning all about food and how it is harvested. .
We welcome our volunteers and guests to be a part of this programme when they stay with us on site at our homestay. It really is a wonderful experience.
